Default 2010 Cruze tested

Finally a real life test of the new Cruze 1.8L. Not bad but it really needs a turbo charged engine...

It is going to be crazy when people start buying them in North America, well, hell, even the UK and they start posting about it here.

Looking forward to modding

How do you feel about it? I want to buy it but it is looking expensive to me. But if it will be worth that money then I can buy it.

I have bought the Chev Cruze 2.0 LT Diesel Auto.in Silver (would have prefered a Hatchback) Better value than the Vauxhall both on GM Delta 2 platform. No electric foldback ,door mirrors, no tyre pressure monitor gauge, no compass ,no clear easily read instruments, all found on my previous car Dodge Caliber SXT CVT. However the Cruze is better drive, and I am hoping not to experience problems with the DPF filter.

Picked up a Red LTZ Cruze a week ago. Have put a little over 200 miles on it all in the city and am happy with it . There are a few things that might bother some people. There is a bit of turbo lag at times . The transmission seems a bit( a good word to use is) wimpy. Shifts are slow and it is out of first usually almost right away. Seems way too early to me. Got the LTZ model only because I wanted cruise control and Remote start. Am in Michigan so it is cold here half the year. By the time you have added these 2 options on the LT version it wasn't that much more to get the 18 inch rims , four wheel disc brakes and leather seats. Test drove a LT version with smaller rims and somewhat regret having the larger rims . The low profile tires make for a bit rougher ride and the tires that come on the car really have a lot of road noise on certain roads around here. The handling of the car is quite good better on the LTZ then on the LT that I test drove and steering response is excellent . All my driving so far has been in the city and haven't taked it out on the expressway yet . Topped it off after I picked it up and filled it up tonight and figured out to be 25.7 mpg. The driver information center was showing 25.5mpg so it seems to be pretty close to being right.

26 mpg for combined Town & Motorway on LT auto diesel 150 bhp is a very disappointing-,roadholding on 17" wheels is good ,but ride on rough UK roads bad. No Z watts suspension on Euro models. only 6 airbags. on this Korean built Lacetti called Cruze in Europe, very poor quality plastic marks too easily. .Instrumentation is a disgrace and unsafe can not be read whilst travelling fast or when wearing sun glasses.. Looks good at night but useless during day time. I shall not be buying another Cruze unless inmprovements are made.No problems with DPF . Current Newprice at Evans Halshaw £1488 for auto diesel. DVLA & Dealer fail to notify owners of recalls until taken in for service.
