now in production
full scale production started last week. They made just over 750 in August in getting the line set up. They should double that easily in September, and produce in large numbers now.
I only wish they had a flex-fuel model to sell. I'm waiting until I can get a turbo flex-fuel model before I buy.
I will spend 20K on a car. Then I will spend 20K on fuel over the next four or five years. I want that 20K in fuel to be given to mid-west farmers, instead middle east sheiks. Get me a flex-fuel 4 turbo and I'll buy it!

Yes, E85 can be produced from many sources- not just corn.
And Oil and be produced from many sources, not just dead dinosaurs.
The point is that there is a limit, finite amount of oil, and it comes from places where there is a terrible cost associated with getting it. Iraq has a lot of oil reserves- but it's already cost almost 5,000 American soldier lives to retrieve it.
No thank you. I will NEVER buy a gasoline-only car again. I'm a retired U.S. Army officer and I swear on the graves of my dead friends that I will NOT purchase a gasoline only car ever again.
Get me a U.S. made car, fueled by U.S. farmers, and I'll happily buy it.

Second of all, I don't get 30% poorer fuel economy. I get about 12% less MPG on E85 than on gasoline.
Third, I don't buy gasoline, because I am a retired U.S. Army officer. And this is what gasoline actually costs:

You who use gasoline don't understand what the real price is to keep it flowing.
I would much rather give my money to Mid-west farmers, than to Middle-eastern Sheiks.
The price of gasoline is much, much higher than what you pay at the pump. And if you haven't been there, and haven't seen what the price really is, don't talk to me about the cost to fill up.
