In addition to poor fuel consumption Cruze has a terrible bone shaking ride over poor surfaces small bumps & ridges. IMpossible to read the speedo in strongsunlight or at fast speeds, high mph obscured by steering wheel, the Auto Lights & rainsensing wipers are totally useless. Wish I had bought the 2010 model Dodge Caliber but not in UK yet.Cruze does not feature unlike the Caliber powered foldback mirror, tyre pressure monitor, compass, chilled drinks locker, etc.

Normal driving 30 mph town 70 mph Motorway. My 2 litre petrol CVT Dodge Caliber produced overall 26 mpg 33 mpg on a long journey London/ Manchester. No point in buying a Diesel ?

I would give it some time to break in. It may take 4000 to 8000 miles.

I have now covered 4700 miles worst mpg 26 best on a long run 33mpg. average around 28.5 mpg . I shall not be buying another Cruze. I do not like the suspension, the rainsensing wipers or the autolights the rubbish plastic, rock hard centre arm rest, can not read the instruments in strong sunlight when wearing sun glasses. The best points of the car are the looks, full size spare wheel & parking sensors standard on the LT model. I have only seen three others on the road in the past 7 months, Which? car magazine says poor vision & resale value. No doubt the latest 5 year warranty & free service package may help sales.
